స్కూల్ లేదా బడి ఇది ఒక చక్కని వాతావరణం గల ప్రదేశం . ఇది ఒక గుడి లాంటిది హిదువుల గుడికి హిందువులే వెళతారు ముస్లింల మసీదుకు ముస్లిములే వెళతారు, చర్చికి క్రైస్తవులు వెళతారు కానీ ఇక్కడికి అన్ని మతాలవారు కులాలవారు వస్తారు . కానీ ఇక్కడ పనిచేస్తున్న ఉపద్యులకు చాలా వరకు వారియొక్క విధులు ఏమిటో మొదట తెలిసిన తరువాత కాలక్రమేనా మరచి ఈపని నేను చెయ్యకూడదు ఈపని ఆ ఉపాద్యుడే చేయాలి అని వాదులడుకుంటూ ఉంటారు. వారందరి కోసం టీచర్స్ 9 గవర్నమెంట్ ఒర్దేర్డ్ తో సహా మీకు ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్ రూల్స్ ని ఇస్తున్నాము

DUTIES OF HEAD MASTERS & STAFF OF THE SECONDARY SCHOOLS
DUTIES OF THE HEAD MASTER :
Acadamic :
- Teaching of eight periods a week, preferably one subject, completely in general.
- Guiding teachers of his own subjects in particular and others in general
- Arranging for professional guidance from his own and also from local experts, if available, in other subject areas.
- Informing the departmental inspecting officers for the guidance he requires in specific areas
- Formulating minimum academic programme and institution plan with the help of his assistants and implement it.
- Arranging demonstration lessons in all subjects/areas by competent subject teachers.
- Under taking action research programmes conference, workshops, Seminars etc.,
- Arranging conferences, workshops, seminars etc.,
- Organising innovative activities.
- Periodical (Monthly) check-up of the lesson plans and year plans prepared by the assistants.
- Preparation of time table and their proper implementations.
- Observation of class-room teaching of the Assistants to the extent of one period during a working day ( preferably X Class) and recording it with suggestions for improvement.
- Proper organisation of activity areas, namely, physical education, health education, creative activity and socially useful productive work ( SUPW ) and moral education.
- Introduction of Scouting and Guiding as co-curricular activities and their proper supervision.
- Preparing the school for participation in science fairs and in games, spots.
- Completion of syllabus as per the plan of Common Examination Board.
- Organise Book Banks, Sanchayikas, Co-operative stores etc., wherever possible.
- Maintain a watch register to note the academic and para academic work turned out by assistants.
- Observation of class-room teaching of every assistant to the extent of one period for each them
- Maintain all the registers prescribed, if supplied by the management.
- Collect, utilise and maintain the accounts relating to special fee funds.
- Supervise work of office staff.
- Submit pay bills etc., promptly.
- Ensure regular attendance of pupils, teachers, and office staff.
- Conduct daily school assembly, arrange for proper maintence and utilisation of library, prescribe school uniform, celebration of national festival, make the pupils participate in the competition of academic importance.
- Conduct tests and examinations efficiently.
- Any other assignment and responsibilities specifically entrusted by the department and management.
- Organise Parent-Teacher Association.
- Enlist community support for school improvement programmes.
Academic :
- To teach the allotted subject during the allotted periods.
- Guiding subject to junior teachers, if any.
- Correction of written work of the pupils regularly.
- Correction of answer scripts relating to all unit tests and terminal examinations.
- Developing aptitude for professional advancement participation.
- Implementation of minimum academic programme chalked out in his subject.
- Diagnosing pupils deficiencies and conducting remedial teaching.
- Proper use of teaching materials and aids available in the schools.
- Improving Black Board work.
- Undertaking action research and innovative practice.
- Maintenance of Class Room discipline.
- Maintenance of attendance registers.
- Encouraging pupils in maintaining personal hygiene and class room cleanliness.
- Attending the classes regularly.
- Assisting the Head master in the sale of Text-books, Teachers Day Flags activities.
- Partcipation and organisation of Co-curricular and extra curricular activities.
- Encouraging pupils to follow dress restrictions and general discipline with school, adhering to the deities and responsibilities specifically designed to the subject departments.
- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned to him by the head master under orders of his superiors.
